On Friday, the Brussels Parliament unanimously approved a proposal by opposition member Victoria Austraet (ex-DierAnimal, now independent) to ban the capture and killing of pigeons in the Brussels Region. The initiative has the full support of Animal Welfare Minister Bernard Clerfayt (DéFI), the latter said in a statement.
