The Stuttgart fashion retailer Breuninger is expanding its online shop into three new markets and is now online in Denmark, Sweden and Romania. As the company announced on Wednesday, the omnichannel retailer is expanding its digital presence to a total of 13 European countries. These are “very attractive growth markets in Europe,” explained Breuninger CEO Holger Blecker.

“Overall, the markets represent a high affinity for premium and luxury products as well as dynamic growth in e-commerce,” continued Blecker. “With the international expansion, we are strengthening the Breuninger brand sustainably in Europe.”

The online shops, which are available in English and in the respective national languages, focus on the categories clothing, shoes, beauty and home & living. The range is based on the existing wholesale offering and has been adapted to the needs of the different markets, according to Stuttgart.

Breuninger first launched its online shop in 2008 and has continuously expanded it since then. The company recently expanded its digital marketplace model, which, in addition to its own product range, also enables partner brands to sell their products via the platform. This offer was launched in Austria in February and in the Netherlands in April.
