The Brandenburg officials and judges receive a corona payment of 1300 euros. The one-time bonus for trainees is 650 euros.
Finance Minister Katrin Lange (SPD) said on Thursday in the state parliament that the collective bargaining result for public sector employees must be transferred quickly to active civil servants because the special payment can only be made tax-free until the end of March.
Parliament approved the bill.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the members of the state government, state secretaries and the president of the state audit office will not receive any special corona payments. Pension recipients are also excluded from the payment.
According to the ministry, the additional costs for the special payment for civil servants and judges are estimated at around 43.6 million euros.
Including the transfer of the wage increase of 2.8 percent to civil servants and judges as of December 1, 2022, the ministry expects additional costs of 51.1 million euros this year and 72.4 million euros in the coming year.
