In a recent conversation in the “New Heights” podcast, with and of Jason and Travis Kelce, Brad Pitt spoke about a scene from one of his early films that has been remembered to this day. The actor told how he was physically so sick when filming a meal scene that the entire film crew left the set.

“Nature took its course”

The film was shot in a small café with around 60 crew members. For the said scene, Pitt’s character ate a large plate of beans with bacon after a long hunger phase. The actor decided to eat the meal completely in every setting in order to play the scene as convincingly as possible.

“I just knocked this plate down. Take two, the same. Take three, the same. Take four, again,” he said. “And then it caught me. I couldn’t do anything. I sat there and nature took its course.”

The crew had to flee

At first Brad Pitt hoped that the whole thing was unnoticed. But shortly afterwards he noticed that the room was constantly emptied. “Suddenly – the most diabolical something ever lay down over the crew in the whole room – they fled from the café. They fled!” Since this incident, he has been more careful with meal scenes: “I’ve been taking myself back since then.”

Pitt left open which film was meant exactly. However, it is likely that it could be “Johnny Suede” from the year 1991. There is a scene in which its character is baked beans.

Pitt hurries his reputation ahead

The actor has earned a certain reputation over the years. In his films, he is striking to see while eating. In “Se7en”, for example, he has a bag of chips in his hand, while he eats turkey legs in “Troy” and enjoys a few hot dogs in “Cutting Class”.

Brad Pitt’s appearance in the podcast of the Kelce Brothers took place on the occasion of the promo tour of his new film “F1”, which is currently running in cinemas.
