Bombs excavated on Oostduinkerke beach

Signs were placed on the beach warning walkers about the works. Explosive devices that pose a danger to safe transport are detonated in a deep well against the low water line.

Since 1994, the company has been investigating and excavating explosives on the beach. In addition to old sea mines, aircraft bombs, land mines and other projectiles, torpedoes and cannons were even brought out.
