Martin Perrillat-Bottonet was never one of the greats of the biathlon scene, but the Frenchman made quite a splash by winning the 2017/18 junior overall World Cup and fourth place in the 2019/20 IBU Cup standings. At the age of 24, however, he is now giving up his skis and weapon – probably also for self-protection.
