German e-athlete Berkay “BerkayLion” Demirci has won the FC Pro 24 Open Regional Cup for Eastern Europe. In a close final, the SV Werder Bremen player defeated the Swede Oliver “OliBoli7” Uttgren 7:6.
Previously, BerkayLion defeated the German player Koray “Kkoray” Kücükgünar from Focus in the semifinals. The German Dylan “DullenMIKE” Neuhausen, also from Focus, also ended up in the top four.
It was the first of two Regional Cups in which players who had already been eliminated from the FC Pro Open compete against each other. The second of these online tournaments will follow in mid-December.
In FIFA 23, BerkayLion was German runner-up in singles and was voted Newcomer of the Year in the Virtual Bundesliga. At the FC 24 Open Regional Cup he once again showed his playing class to the international competition.
