Belgian motorist follows navigation too literally and ends up on track

A Belgian motorist drove onto the track in Oisterwijk on Saturday night. She followed the directions of her navigation a little too literally.

The woman was driving from the center of Oisterwijk towards the Heusdensebaan when her navigation indicated: “Turn right here.” The woman did so immediately, but this was a turn too early. That is how she ended up on the track at the Nicolaas van Eschstraat.

Dangerous situation
The woman then warned several people in panic. Several motorists stopped when they saw what had happened. An effort was made to get the car off the track, but in vain.

In addition, a dangerous situation arose, because a freight train could arrive at any moment. Because the control room switched very quickly, train traffic could be stopped in time. In this way a collision could be avoided.

Follow the road
In the end, the people, together with the gathered police, managed to get the Belgian woman’s car off the track. The car was not damaged and the woman was allowed to continue on her way.
