Behind the scenes at ‘Dertigers’: “Characters based on acquaintances, but put through the mixer”

When creator and director Wim De Smet approached the VRT with the pilot episode of ‘Dertigers’ five years ago, they were immediately quite enthusiastic. One promptly ordered a season and would initially stop there. Take that a little differently. The fourth and final volume has recently been aired. And the television viewer finds it delicious. Wim himself explains to us what that is and how it works, making those whole ‘Thirties’.
