Petersburg Governor Beglov warned of a “vertical rise” in the incidence of COVID

The situation with the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in St. Petersburg is complicated, declared Governor of the city Alexander Beglov.

“There is a steady increase in the number of cases. All signs today indicate that we are waiting for not just a new wave of coronavirus, but a vertical rise in the incidence,” the governor said.

According to him, the situation is so serious that it now depends literally “on every person” whether the St. Petersburg authorities will have to introduce new restrictions.

Over the past day, 4132 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected in St. Petersburg, over the past week the number of infections has almost tripled.
