Leo Beenhakker withdrew for personal reasons as the list pusher of 50PLUS in the municipal elections in Rotterdam on 16 March. The 79-year-old former coach of Feyenoord remains connected to the party, which is a fierce opponent of Feyenoord City, the construction project around a new stadium for the club.
