BBL: Bamberg wins derby against Würzburg

The fans are back in the Brose Arena. Thanks to a special permit, 731 spectators were allowed into the hall one day before the new Corona spectator regulation of the Bavarian State Government came into force. Freshly tested and with a mask, they saw a courageous performance by the home team, who at no time left any doubt as to who would leave the pitch as the winner that evening.

Even if Würzburg kept pace with Bamberg in the first quarter, the balance of power was clear by half-time at the latest. Because in the second quarter, nothing came together for Würzburg: at the end of the day, the guests only had ten points.

Würzburg’s series of defeats continues

Bamberg went into the break with a 13-point lead before making everything clear in the third quarter. Christian Sengfelder (19 points) and Martinas giving (18) led their team as the best throwers.

For Würzburg it is now the tenth defeat in a row. Lower Franconia won the last game in early November – against table leaders FC Bayern of all places.
