The Skyliners Frankfurt lost unhappily to the Chemnitz Niners in the basketball Bundesliga on Friday evening. The hard-fought game ended 86:87 after overtime. The Hessians could even have won with the last action of the game, but the Skyliners center Jamel McLean, who had been so strong up to that point, stumbled a few moments before the final siren.
For a long time, it had looked like the Frankfurters would be able to return from the forced Corona break. In the meantime, the Skyliners led the match by 14 points. But in the final phase of the game, the Hessians ran out of breath, Chemnitz equalized shortly before the end and then had the happier end in dramatic overtime.
In addition to McLean, Quantez Robertson and Brancou Badio each scored 17 points for the Skyliners.
