Espanyol’s spell in derbies continues. With everything in their favor and the match languishing, the Blue and Whites let two points slip away. The start of 2022 for Vicente Moreno’s men is something to make them look at. Two points out of a possible fifteen and eliminated from the Copa del Rey, the worst streak of the season.

defenses

Vilhenna (4). Lost. Everything that he taught in San Mamés, where he was the best blue and white, was diluted in the derby.
strikers
Handful (6). Restrained. The youth squad is pure talent, although he also knows when to sacrifice himself. With no opportunities to shine, Puado put on his workman’s overalls.
From Thomas (8). ‘new look’. He promised the man from Madrid strong emotions and got what he set out to do. He took all the colors of the Pantone scale from Eric García in the 2-1 action, in which he did not forgive in the one-on-one with Ter Stegen.
