Banal call leads to drama: American agent shot dead with her own weapon after pleading

An officer was shot and killed with her own gun in the hallway of a hotel in Bradley, Illinois, last Wednesday. Marlene Rittmanic begged the career criminal for her life, but in vain. Her partner Tyler Bailey was shot in the head and is still fighting for his life. The reason was rather banal: Rittmanic and Bailey had responded to a call about dogs barking in an abandoned car.
