Olympic silver medalists Emma Hinze and Lea Sophie Friedrich won the team sprint title at the German Track Cycling Championships in Kaarst-Büttgen together with young rider Sandra Hainzl.
The riders from RSC Cottbus won the final in 48.504 seconds against a mixed team led by three-time team sprint world champion Pauline Grabosch (Erfurt/48.847).
In the men’s team sprint, a trio from RSC Cottbus also prevailed confidently. Nik Schröter, Maximilian Dörnbach and Anton Höhne won the final in 46.458 seconds against Thuringia (46.965).
Teutenberg before Kluge
Another title went to Cologne’s Tim-Torn Teutenberg im scratch and almost six hours later in the elimination round. “I’m really happy that I won the title in my favorite discipline, elimination driving.”said Teutenberg, the world tour-Relegated professional Roger Kluge from Berlin to second place.
Fabienne Jährig from BRC Zugvogel Berlin won the final women’s points race. “It was a very tough race, but I tried something right at the beginning. In the end I had nothing left to lose and it worked out.”said the new German champion.
