If you normally travel by bus, you may experience strikes from Monday. Buses can fail or run late. The unions have announced strikes for five days. They cannot yet say exactly how the actions will turn out and where regional transport will fail.
Bus employees also went on strike three weeks ago. Then about four out of ten buses fell out. That was an action by trade union FNV. The CNV will also take action next week. The unions want a new collective agreement with a wage increase that is equal to inflation and less work pressure.
Regional train staff are also on strike. This could, for example, have consequences for trains that run on the Maaslijn, with stops in Cuijk, Boxmeer and Vierlingsbeek.
