Paving high vault dominator Armand Duplanis from Sweden has set up a meeting in Berlin at the ISTAF Indoor in Berlin.
The 25-year-old world record holder from Sweden won in front of 12,100 spectators in the sold-out Uber-Arena with a height of 6.10 meters during his first appearance this year.
Two years earlier, Armand Duplantis screwed the record at the Berlin indoor meeting to 6.06 meters. After the record, the exceptional athlete had the latte placed on the world record height of 6.27 meters, one centimeter above its current best performance, but broke off the project after the second failed test.
Second, the Olympic 3rd of Paris, Emmanouil Karalis, who was able to cross 5.94 meters. Oleg Zernikel (Landau) and the Düsseldorfer Bo Kanda Lita Baehre took third and fourth place with skipped 5.70 meters.
Ogunleye wins with almost a meter lead
Yemisi Ogunleye also dominated the competition at the shot put premiere at the ISTAF Indoor. The 26 -year -old Olympic champion from MTG Mannheim had a lead over 19.42 meters 94 centimeters ahead of the Portuguese Jessica Inchude (18.48) and the Katharina Maisch from LV 90 Erzgebirge (18.40).
German double victory over 60 meters – Assani second
There was a German double victory over 60 meters. The Wetzlar woman Rebekka Haase won just before her teammate Lisa Mayer. The two-time Paralympics winner Felix Streng (Wetzlar) won the 60 meter sprint in 7.03 seconds.
