Association lets fans vote on coach

The Kazakh Football Association QFF consults its own fans when choosing the new national coach. As QFF President Jerlan Koschagapanov told local media on Monday, supporters will soon be able to vote in an online poll on whether the new coach should come from abroad or from Kazakhstan. If more than 50,000 people take part in the vote, the association wants to see the verdict as binding and put four specific candidates up for election in a second round. “Football cannot develop without the participation of the fans,” Koshagapanov said. “If they exercise their right to influence, our team will benefit.”
