Arsenal defended their lead in the English Premier League without the injured soccer world champion Mesut Özil. However, Arsène Wenger’s side were only able to draw 0-0 at Stoke City on Sunday. The North Londoners are still first on 44 points, level on points with Leicester City. Özil, who was unable to play due to a foot problem, was sorely missed in Arsenal’s midfield. The 27-year-old announced his return via Twitter for next Sunday’s home game against Chelsea.
