Arend Jan Boekestijn is not sad that Frank Lammers has been kicked out of Jumbo after thirteen years. He hated seeing him in those commercials. “A huge jerk!” he shouts.

After thirteen years it is over: Frank Lammers loses his lucrative deal with Jumbo. He is replaced in the supermarket advertisements by Rob Kemps, not exactly the most beloved celebrity around. The reason for the change is that Jumbo is choosing a new brand direction and that includes a new face.

“Good thing he’s gone!”

When Frank’s departure is discussed in Today InsideTV authority Tina Nijkamp shouts enthusiastically: “It’s good that it’s gone by the way!”

Presenter Wilfred Genee: “Oh, yes, is that true? Frank Lammers is simply dismissed!”

Tina: “I’m glad he left Jumbo, yes. About time.”

Johan Derksen: “I completely agree with you. I think he is a very annoying man. A nasty appearance.”

Huge jerk

Tina doesn’t think Frank is a good example at all. “So grumpy. He plays a dorky family man, but the grumpiest.”

Arend Jan Boekestijn, who is sitting next to Tina, then comes up with a surprising response: “I have to admit: I have always thought Frank Lammers was a huge jerk.”

It makes Tina laugh a lot: “Hahahaha. It comes from your toes! From your toes!”

Wilfred wants even more dirt: “Is that really true? Is that a huge jerk?”

Huwuwuwu

Tina agrees with Arend Jan’s opinion. “Well, I don’t think he seems very nice, even when he appears on talk shows. It’s always huwuwuwuwu.”

Table guest Rutger Castricum: “He is always fighting. He was once in De Oranjezomer with Raymond Mens and then he gets into a fight, while: I also drank with him one evening and then you had a nice evening.”

Tina: “But what I find most disturbing about him is that I always had the feeling in that Jumbo commercial that he actually only did it for the money.”

Five tons

By definition, you do advertising for the money, right? Tina: “I understand that you only do that for the money, but he also radiates that he wanted to be a serious actor. That always bothered me about him.”

She states that she has heard from a reliable source that Jeroen van Koningsbrugge receives around €500,000 per year for six Albert Heijn commercials. Wilfred concludes: “I think Frank Lammers deserved a lot more!”
