The fire brigade rescued a woman from a precarious position at the station in Meppel tonight. She got stuck in the elevator with her bicycle.
Firefighters had to force the elevator to save the woman. Due to this action, the lift at the station is temporarily out of use. The woman was not injured.
The station lift in Meppel often causes problems. Several times people got stuck in this elevator. According to ProRail, this is due to malfunctions, students who collide with the door with their bicycle or vandalism.
