An intriguing gambling move solved the message win: “That lottery went well”

Jämin Jänne dominates the domestic tracks.

Jämin Jänte’s anchor Lauri Lepistö showed his tactical eye for the game on Sunday in Kuopio, when he decided the traditional 3×7.5 kilometer relay victory in the final battle.

– I was satisfied that I thought Niilo Moilanen made a jerk on the last climb, but I knew the descent would collect the groups. I thought it’s not me who wants to catch Niilo. Imatran Miro Karpanen rushed after, Lepistö says.

– It was a search for tracks at the finish line, but the lottery went well. I noticed that I have a sharp leg, probably for the first time this season on a traditional one, added the skier from Kouvola.

Puijon Iivo Niskanen left more than 40 seconds into the anchor section and closed the tip wildly, but never got to the bow.

– Often in a situation like that, when there are several teams clearly separated before the final part, it goes for a walk. But now the pace was quite good. Even though Iivo took eight seconds up the first hill, he probably had to ski at full speed. Then we shared a bit of pulling responsibility at the top. Fortunately, it was found from Miro and at the end from Niilo, Lepistö said.

On a winning streak

Jämi also won the opening relay of the season in Vuokatti. Then the journey was 3×6 kilometers free. Fresh medals in the trophy cabinet are the Vantaa double relay championship gold from the beginning of February and last season’s 4×10 kilometer relay Finnish championship from Inari.

– Of course it tastes good. We continued where we left off in Hakunila, Vantaa. Many thought that Sunday’s race was a given for Jämi, but on a track like that, anything is possible.

Problems at Hakola

Ristomatti Hakola has a strange feeling. Jussi Saarinen

Jäm’s message opened with skiing Markus Vuorela and the second part Cross mat Hakola.

– It was a terrible headwind. If you wanted to let go, you would have needed one hard blow. The situation behind Puijo was such that there was no need to try to trick other teams – the most important thing is that Iivo doesn’t get very close to the anchor section, Hakola said.

Hakola already complained on Saturday after the Kuopio freestyle 12 kilometer race that she didn’t feel normal.

– It’s been a strange feeling for a couple of weeks. I can’t say what because I don’t know exactly. It is not related to old injuries, Hakola said.

– But I was surprisingly able to ski 7.5 kilometers on Sunday. Next weekend I should be able to ski 20 kilometers in the Lahti World Cup, he added.

Last season, the overall Finnish Cup relay competition was won by Imatra’s Athletes. Pyhäjärvi’s Pohti Ski Team was second and Jämin’s Jänne was third.
