Altaroma 2022, the female brands protagonists

THEthe future is woman. At least second Altaroma 2022came to the conclusion after a three days of events, fashion shows, presentations, talks in the Cinecittà Studios. The fortieth edition in twenty years of what is now called Rome Fashion Weekdedicated to independent and emerging Made in Italy designers, is reborn after two difficult years due to the pandemic. A woman, a leader. Which this year more than ever underlines the importance of the female component of Altaroma – which soon, thanks to the widespread collaboration with the institutions, will make the transition from company to foundation. About 80% of the new ones Fall Winter 2022/2023 collections in fact presented at the event are companies, brands, start-ups and entrepreneurial realities founded or led by women. A number that bodes well for the future, considering that in 2020 the female employment rate dropped to 47.3%, as Minister Bonetti underlined in connection at the opening of the event: there is so much to do at the political level, economic, social, but there is no doubt that the Italian (and Roman) fashion scene is one of the sectors where the presence of women is, despite everything, more relevant.

Altaroma 2022, an edition dedicated to today’s women

During the 11 fashion shows dedicated to individual stylists and collectives of Rome is my runwaywhich bring together the names that are presented for the first time to the public of experts, presented in the frame of mythical Studio 5 and follow them online via web and app on the phygital platform dedicated remotely by 76 thousand people. Feminine brands (and stories)

Feminine stories and personalities intertwine, take shape and life at Altaroma 2022. And are transformed into brand of tomorrow. Realities born in the territory, with a family imprint. The exceptions that prove the rule

Clearly, the male component also stood out in Altaroma.
