Schladming
After the last Alpine World Ski Championships were held in Schladming in 2013, the women are only now returning to this place, which is otherwise only part of the program in the men’s World Cup calendar. This is the first time that skiers can enjoy skiing on the Nightrace slope.

Reason for relocation
Last Thursday the competition was rescheduled. The government of the federal state of Salzburg spoke out against the hosting of the event due to Corona. The incidence is currently around 1,500. At the ÖSV they quickly had an alternative solution. And since Styria has the lowest values in Austria with values around 400, the choice fell in favor of Schladming. At the end of the month, the men should drive a slalom on the Planai anyway. Therefore all prerequisites are given to enable women to compete.

Welcome to the women’s alpine ski world cup! A night slalom is on the program for Tuesday. This will not take place in Flachau as originally planned from 6:00 p.m., but in Schladming.
