Alphonso Davies misses Harry Kane’s winning goal against Leipzig

Harry Kane scores twice, Bayern Munich finally celebrates a victory again. But a professional from the record champions no longer noticed it.

Harry Kane has led FC Bayern back on the road to success. Thanks to their top scorer’s brace, Munich won for the first time after three competitive defeats. Kane only scored the winning goal in stoppage time in the 2-1 win against RB Leipzig.

Curious: A Bayern player didn’t even notice it anymore. Alphonso Davies, who was watching in the stands with a female companion, had left the stands exactly two minutes earlier and missed the winning goal. Why Davies left his seat early? Not clear.

The left-back stopped briefly for a fan who was fulfilling a selfie wish, then he was gone. Davies apparently made his way towards the crew cabin. Shortly afterwards he was spotted again near the players’ tunnel – but he still missed the winning goal in stoppage time on the way there from the stands.

The Canadian (strained medial ligament on his left knee) was recently injured but is on his way back to the team. Over the last week he was able to train with the ball again. Sports director Christoph Freund announced in an interview with t-online after the game that Davies was expected back in team training next week.
