AlfaStrakhovanie: most often accidents with buses in three years happened in the Smolensk region
The company analyzed the structure of insurance payments and came to the conclusion that most often victims of bus accidents applied to branches in the Smolensk region, St. Petersburg and the Novosibirsk region
Most often, victims of accidents involving city and suburban buses, as well as fixed-route taxis, applied for payments to AlfaStrakhovanie in the Smolensk region, St. Petersburg and the Novosibirsk region, the company’s analysts calculated (RBC has the results).
They analyzed the structure of insurance payments under the carrier’s compulsory civil liability insurance policies for the period from 2019 to 2021.
The share of the rating leader – the Smolensk region – accounted for a little more than 15% of the total number of accidents. The top ten regions are as follows:
- Smolensk region – 15.3%
- St. Petersburg – 13.4%
- Novosibirsk region – 10.5%
- Moscow – 9.5%
- Stavropol Territory – 9.5%
- Chelyabinsk region – 6.0%
- Penza region – 5.9%
- Voronezh region – 4.3%
- Altai Territory – 2.7%
- Sakhalin Region – 2.5%
The largest accident in terms of AlfaStrakhovanie’s payments for the studied period occurred in Smolensk at the beginning of 2019, according to the company’s materials. Then the victims were paid more than 36 million rubles.
