Akimat and Prosecutor’s Office buildings were set on fire in Alma-Ata

Published footage from Almaty, where on Wednesday, January 5, riots continued. According to the video, the protesters set fire to the city hall and the prosecutor’s office.

As previously reported, the protesters went to storm the akimatAt first, they were opposed by law enforcement officers who used special means.

However, according to the latest data, which leads RIA News, law enforcement officers withdrew from the square in front of the mayor’s office.

The situation in Kazakhstan, aggravated the day before after days of street protests, it remains tense. Clashes continue between security officials and participants in street actions, it is known that there are victims.

Recall that the protests began after it was announced an increase in the price of liquefied gas for refueling cars. The authorities have already promised reduce its costb, however, this did not leave people taking to the streets.

The current government of the country dismissed, and the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, appealed to his fellow citizens to show prudence and not succumb to provocations.
