Ajax ignores quarantine rules and flies four infected Ajax players back to Amsterdam

Ajax has had four Ajax players who tested positive for corona in Portugal on Wednesday fly back to the Netherlands. The club has thereby violated the quarantine rules.

The infected persons were flown back by private plane barely a day after their positive test, reports include The Telegraph. It is not known whether they will go into quarantine in the Netherlands.

According to the applicable rules, if a person tests positive in Portugal, he must immediately be quarantined. The person may only travel after showing a negative PCR test.

Ajax does not want to confirm that the four infected persons are players, as various media report. The club broke off the training camp in the Portuguese Algarve on Wednesday due to the corona cases.
