Afternoon chilling turns into armed and violent robbery

An afternoon of chilling in Eindhoven almost ended disastrously for two boys. On December 30, they became the victim of an armed and violent robbery in a flat on Echternachlaan in Eindhoven. Bureau Brabant shows images of the perpetrators and a possible accomplice.

The two victims were walking in the Echternachlaan between four and five o’clock in the afternoon. They passed a flat and an adjacent soccer field where young people like to hang out. Also that day there were two teenagers sitting on a bench. They are fifteen or sixteen years old. This duo struck up a conversation. The victims were invited to relax elsewhere. She liked that and the four of them entered the flat.

Elevator
It all went wrong in the elevator and in the gallery. Totally unexpected, the two boys received a gun to their head and had to hand over money, bank cards, telephones and clothing under threat. Initially, both victims cooperated, until something snapped in one of them and he resisted.

One of the perpetrators, in striking orange trousers, started to run. The other robber got into a fight with the victims. There were heavy blows to and fro. The gun of the perpetrator fell to the ground in all hecticness, after which he fled.

Shortly afterwards, the victims went after their robbers. On the street they saw the robber in the orange pants running away to De Splinter play park. They gave chase but lost him. The armed robbery fizzled out for the two victims.

Surveillance images
Police have CCTV footage of the robbers. For example, the perpetrator in the orange pants walks past on a gallery in the flat. This robber has been made unrecognizable because the police already have a suspicion who he is. It is just not known where he resides. There are also images of the other perpetrator.

The police have the following descriptions: the first perpetrator is 1.65 to 1.70 meters tall, of Moroccan descent and was wearing a striking orange Nike Tech brand. The other robber is 1.80 to 1.85 meters tall, possibly Turkish and was wearing a Louis Vuitton cap and bag. After the robbery, he had put on a Montcler body warmer from one of the victims.

DNA traces
In addition to these images, the police have recordings showing how someone is using a stolen bank card. It concerns a young man with a large hood with a fur collar. It is not certain if he is one of the robbers. He does come into the picture clearly when he walks away after the debit card, presumably in the company of some friends.

Police are investigating the gun that was left behind after the robbery for DNA traces. A telephone belonging to one of the victims was also later found in the flat. It may also lead to the perpetrators.
