After her divorce, Sanna Stellan changed the background image, which gave perspective to the grief

Actress Sanna Stellan talks about her divorce and recovery in Eeva.

Actor Sanna Stellan says in the fresh In Eeva’s interviewhow the second divorce pushed him into dark thoughts – and on the other hand released a fierce hunger for life.

Stellan and her then spouse Timo Suomi filed for divorce together last spring. The couple lived the everyday life of a ten-person new family in a national school in Sipoo that had been renovated into the home of their dreams. They had a child together in the spring of 2019.

Stellan tells Eeva that during the final days of the marriage, he feels bad.

– I was stuck fighting for things that are not worth fighting for. I imagined that if I twisted myself enough times, I could make the relationship work. Sometimes you just have to let go, Stellan says in Eeva.

Stellan says that in the middle of the breakup, he changed his phone’s wallpaper to a distant globe. Images of space and big cities also gave Stellan a perspective on sorrows.

– Sometimes it’s good for a person to realize their own smallness and the fact that we’re only here for a moment, Stellan says in Eeva.

The reminder of the limitation of time awakened in him a hunger for life.

– We have been given this one, joyful life. Why would I stay home and sulk when the world is full of opportunities? There are no rules about how long to grieve after a loss, says Stellan.
