Adler Mannheim dismiss coach Lundskog, Dallas Eakins takes over

As of: November 27, 2023 1:29 p.m

The Adler Mannheim have reacted to the sporting downturn and released head coach Johan Lundskog, assistant coach Jeff Hill and sports manager Jan-Axel Alavaara.

Dallas Eakins will take over the positions of head coach and athletic director. While assistant coach Curt Fraser will continue to carry out his duties, the previous development coach Marcel Goc will move to the position of second assistant coach.

Daniel Hopp: “Forced to act”

“The developments over the last few weeks have forced us first to think and finally to act. I am convinced that with a new impulse at the level of sporting leadership we will get back on the road to success,” says club boss Daniel Hopp about the release.

Lundskog and Hill moved to Mannheim before the current season, while Alavaara had already been manager since 2018. In 2019, the 48-year-old Swede won the championship with Mannheim.
