About 20,000 passengers hit by Ryanair pilots’ strike | Interior

Ryanair canceled 120 flights at Charleroi airport this weekend, 62 on Saturday and 58 on Sunday. In total, almost four in ten passengers (38 percent) were affected by a canceled flight.

With the strike, the pilots demand, among other things, better wages. They surrendered 20 percent at the start of the corona pandemic to help Ryanair weather the crisis. Now that society is profitable again, they demand higher wages again. According to the pilots, there are also problems with rest times.

In recent days, there have been several meetings between the representatives of the pilots and the airline, but they all came to naught. That is why 80 percent of Ryanair pilots in Charleroi decided to strike.
