At Käärijän’s gig in Estonia, a Ukrainian flag was thrown onto the stage, which the artist thought was a Swedish flag. The Ukrainians were appalled by the artist’s behavior towards the flag.

Käärijä performed on Sunday, October 15 in Estonia as part of his European tour.
However, the concert took a special turn when the Ukrainian flag was thrown onto the stage from the audience. The whole situation has been recorded on video and they are currently spreading on the messaging service X (formerly Twitter).
The video shows how Käärijä, his real name Jere Pöyhönenshakes his finger at his audience and refuses to raise the flag.
– Who threw that and why? We are now in Estonia. That’s not cool! Why did you do this? The wrapper asks the audience.
The audience tells the artist that it is the flag of Ukraine. The wrapper picks up the flag and throws it backstage.
Several people in X have been horrified by Käärijä’s behavior towards the Ukrainian flag. In the comment fields, many have thought that Käärijä loves Russia, not Ukraine.
The wrapper commented
Next, Käärijä performed in Germany. He explained the situation to his German concert audience. He says in the video that he has had a bad day
– Many Ukrainians have hoped that Käärijä will die, and now I’ll tell you why, Käärijä opens.

The wrapper tells the video that he thought the flag was a Swedish flag, because it has the same colors as the Ukrainian flag.
– That’s why I didn’t take it and show it to the public, because I was in Estonia! If a Slovenian flag was thrown here, I wouldn’t take it, because I’m fucking in Germany! I have to respect the place I’m in! The wrapper describes emphatically.
– Now many Ukrainians hate me because they think I can’t touch the Ukrainian flag.
The wrapper is visibly furious about the situation in the video.
– That’s bullshit. I want each of you to raise your middle finger. Kukaan ei vittuile minun kanssani! No fucking one! The wrapper shouts.
The wrapper also wants to give all his support to the Ukrainians.
– I want to say that I love Ukraine! I respect them so much and that’s the problem here. They now want me dead and I should now apologize to them, but why? They want to kill me, but I should apologize? No can do.
The artist took a stand on the subject in text form in the stories section of his Instagram account. The text is visible for 24 hours.
– An unpleasant incident happened at my Sunday concert in Tallinn. Someone threw a Ukrainian flag onto the stage, but I didn’t pick it up. This has caused many people to feel bad.
– I want to emphasize that it was a pure misunderstanding on my part. I just saw the colors of the flag and thought it was the Swedish flag, and I didn’t want to be disrespectful by waving the Swedish flag in Estonia. (Be afraid of love for Sweden as well), Käärijä adds.
The wrapper wants to apologize separately.
– I want to apologize to everyone for my mistake. I deeply respect the people of Ukraine and support them in their struggle for freedom and peace, the artist concludes.
