A luxury villa in Potsdam is being broken into here

The two burglars are clearly visible. Captured by the surveillance cameras in a luxurious businessman’s mansion. Scene of the crime: the Potsdam villa district of Berliner Vorstadt on Jungfernsee. Best location on the edge of the World Heritage New Garden and Cecilienhof Palace.

Curious: The pictures of the men who are in the process of clearing out the new villa on Böcklinstraße end up on the owner’s cell phone in real time. State-of-the-art video and transmission technology make it possible.

But: The homeowner has to watch helplessly as the burglars tamper with his belongings. Because he is in Brazil at the time. From 10,000 kilometers away, he sees the burglars ransacking his house. But he can reach the police in Germany.

The officers of a Potsdam police patrol raced to the crime scene on Saturday evening at 8:57 p.m. with blue lights flashing. According to the police, they are only minutes after the alarm on site.

The police officers light up the house – typical traces of a break-in are found. But there was no sign of the burglars. You’re already gone.

But they didn’t get far: A little later, Berlin police officers found the getaway car in Berlin demolished.

The burglars were in a hurry. In the rush, they left valuables in the car. It is unclear whether it is the loot from the villa burglary. The fact is: “The items probably come from theft,” according to the police.

Perhaps that is a small consolation for the entrepreneur. And no one was injured in the burglary.
