The first Champions League trip for Aston Villa continues. After a 3-1 first leg victory, the club from the Premier League also won the second leg against FC Bruges 3-0 (0-0) and is in the quarter-finals, where Paris St. Germain will be the opponent.
Even before the kick-off there was a fireworks in Villa Park-and there was a lot of indication that this was already the overture for the celebrations on the occasion of the move to the quarter-finals at the host’s Champions League premiere. Aston Villa had won the first leg in Bruges 3-1, although the course of the game would also have given a result in the other direction. Nevertheless, the signs were clear before the second 90 minutes.

They became even clearer in the 16th minute.
