Henrik Kristoffersen won two victories at the weekend. Afterwards, however, he had a statement.
It was his weekend in Kransja Gora in Slovenia. Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen won both in the giant slalom on Saturday and in the slalom on Sunday. At the award ceremony, Kristoffersen beamed and stretched his arms up. He then thanked the fans and spoke to the International Ski Association (FIS) about his two victories at the microphone: “I achieved the big goal today, I am very satisfied with that.”
In conversation with ORF, however, the 30-year-old struck other tones. Although he also emphasized that he was satisfied, he added: “But let’s see whether I will continue or not in the next season.” When asked by the moderator, whether he is seriously thinking about the end of a career, Kristoffersen said: “Well, let’s see.”
In slalom, Kristoffersen is currently leading the World Cup rating in front of the Frenchman Clement Noel. In the overall World Cup, the Norwegian is in second place behind the Swiss Marco Odermatt. In private, Kristoffersen lives with his fiancee Tonje Barkenes and the son in Salzburg in Austria.
