Adin Licina has fulfilled his big dream: The offensive talent is a professional at FC Bayern – at least on paper. According to information from the transfer market, the contract of Licinas automatically converted into a license player contract at the beginning of January, which, as before, is valid until June 30, 2026.
The youngster, who feels comfortable both in the offensive midfield and on the right outer lane, is considered Thomas Müller (35) or currently Aleksandar Pavlovic (20) as a prime example of a Bavaria talent. At the age of eight, Licina came to the youngsters of the Munich offspring in 2015, and since the U12 he has always kicked in the older year. Last summer he took part in the season preparation of the professionals for the first time and made an impression.
In the first test game against FC Rottach-Egern (14: 1) from the district class, Licina brought Bayern into the lead and added a goal and a template until the alternation in the half. The DFB junior was also able to go to the South Korea tour and played a total of five of the six preparatory games of the Munich. As a result, he regularly trained with the team of coach Vincent Kompany.
“The team also received a great job. Everyone speaks very openly and honestly with us and tries to help us. Working with the coaching team is also very positive because it consists of many young people who all know in what situation we are as a young player at Bayern. Vincent Kompany also signals that he relies on us and that we have the same importance for him as all other players in the team. It’s really a lot of fun! ”Said Licina shortly before the Bundesliga start in one Club interview.
On the 7th matchday, the offensive talent almost stood in the squad against VfB Stuttgart (4: 0) for the first time when Jamal Musiala (21) had to fit with hip problems. In the end, Kompany opted for other options – this is exemplary for the previous season of Licinas. A broken finger and other injuries prevented regular times. For the Bayern reserve, he contributed a goal and a template in eight regional league games, in which Youth League only reached two short missions.
Licina wants to find back at FC Bayern in the second half of the season
In the second half of the season it should go better for Licina. Since the beginning of February he can fully intervene in the preparation of FC Bayern II, in the last three test games he was on the pitch and met once. Next Saturday (2 p.m.) there will be a top game with regional league leader 1. FC Schweinfurt 05. After the knee injury by Javier Fernández (18), which was operated on and will be out for weeks, the qualities of Licinas are even more asked. The dribble -strong offensive player is considered to be highly rated and has already been associated with international sizes such as Real Madrid, Juventus or AC Milan.
“Since I can think, I’ve been a fan of FC Bayern. It is an insane feeling to have been going here, and with my first missions with the professionals I have already fulfilled a little dream. Now it is important for me to continue. I’m looking forward to the coming time here, ”Licina said in the summer that he does not want to be lured away from Munich for the time being. “The way to professional football is individual for everyone. Some make it directly, some about a loan and others do not at all – so there is no predetermined path. ” At the latest in summer, those responsible for Bayern will look for a conversation with their talent with a view to the 2026 contract, if not earlier.
