Actually, we should never have seen Aerosmith perform on a stage again: The band from Boston had to end their farewell tour “Peace Out” early in September 2023 after just three shows after Steven Tyler, “The Demon of Screamin’”, suffered a serious vocal cord injury had.

After several postponements, the band canceled the remaining 39 dates last August and announced their retirement from live performance due to Tyler’s inability to recover from his injury.

Now it appears that Aerosmith will be reuniting for a special performance at Tyler’s Jam For Janie charity event in early February. The sixth annual event will take place on February 2nd at the Hollywood Palladium on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.

How “Billboard” Reportedly, the group will perform at the event, although in what form it is not yet known. Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum (EX-Gun N’ Roses) and Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme) will also be on stage at “Jam For Janie”.

Aerosmith: Support for charity fund

The shows support Tyler’s Janie’s Fund, named after the band’s 1989 hit “Janie’s Got A Gun,” which helps young women in the United States who are victims of abuse and neglect. This year, a portion of the donations raised will also go to organizations working to fight the wildfires in LA.

Just recently, Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton made a prediction Interview with Boston radio station WBURthat the band members “could do something” together if Tyler was willing. “We don’t know what the future holds,” he said, “but it won’t involve touring.”

Hamilton also said he “can’t imagine” the band continuing with a new singer, adding: “I’m sure we all have music in our future and it will manifest itself in a way that which we cannot yet plan today. I played in a band with some good friends. We have a bunch of really good songs and we hope to release them soon and hopefully do some gigs.”
