Deal apparently collapsed
BVB’s dream player will probably sign somewhere else

BVB has not yet been able to present any new signings this winter. Now the defensive player of choice will probably not come to Dortmund either.
After the departure of BVB coach Nuri Şahin, the question arises: What happens next at Borussia Dortmund? For the time being, at least Mike Tullberg is taking over the duties of the fired trainer. But there is currently a need for action at BVB not only in the coaching position. Those responsible will also have to make changes to the squad in the coming days, especially given the recent series of defeats.
BVB therefore chose Renato Veiga from Chelsea FC to strengthen their defense. The Portuguese international is considered a polyvalent player on the field and can play in central defense, in the left-back position and in central defensive midfield. But apparently nothing comes of the planned transfer business.
As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports, dream player Veiga is moving to another top club in Europe. The Italian record champions Juventus Turin will loan the 21-year-old for a sum of five million euros until the end of June, it is said. According to Romano, the “Bianconeri”, the “White-Blacks”, have no purchase option for Veiga, who should be available to Chelsea for the Club World Cup once the loan expires.
“Bild” reports that Chelsea demanded over six million euros in loan fee from BVB for Veiga. However, Dortmund did not want to pay this amount, especially since the English did not give the “Black and Yellows” or Juventus any purchase option in the negotiations.
BVB now has to orientate itself differently. According to media reports, hopes of a loan from offensive star Marcus Rashford also seem to be dashed.
Meanwhile, there could be movement in the personnel of Karim Adeyemi and Kevin Schade. The BVB star is very popular with SSC Napoli. If Adeyemi leaves Dortmund for Italy, DFB professional Schade could possibly move from FC Brentford to BVB.
