The Solingen-based Walbusch Group was able to increase its sales again in the 2024 financial year.
Walbusch Walter Busch GmbH & Co. KG announced on Tuesday that total revenues amounted to 396.7 million euros last year, exceeding the 2023 level by 5.2 percent on an adjusted basis. The group still owns the brands Walbusch, Avena, and Mey & Edlich, while the La Shoe label was discontinued at the end of 2023.
After group sales had declined in the previous two years, the Walbusch Group was now looking up again thanks to growth across all brands and in all countries. According to the company, sales in online business rose by eleven percent, and in its own stores they rose by four percent.
The group emphasized that “major steps towards realigning the business model” had been initiated in the past year. The “comprehensive transformation” will be implemented in 2025, according to a statement.
At the same time, the growth path should be maintained. For the current year, management expects a sales increase of four percent to 412.5 million euros.
