Interspar has appointed Norbert Maier to the management board. Christoph Reichl will also take over as head of the controlling department at the Austrian hypermarket operator.
Maier was promoted at the beginning of the year and is now deputy managing director, Interspar announced on Tuesday. He succeeds Dietmar Steiner and leads the company together with managing director Johannes Holzleitner and deputy managing director Michaela Blüml.
The new deputy managing director has been working for Interspar for more than 35 years. Maier began his career at the company in 1989 in the controlling department, which he took over as manager in 2000.
In his new role, he is responsible for the areas of auditing & security measures, controlling, food & near food coordination, facility management, construction management, HR development, recruiting & employer branding, human resources, quality assurance and the Interspar bakeries.
Christoph Reichl will take over his previous role as head of the controlling department. He has been active in the company for 17 years and brings experience in the areas of project management, controlling and retail processes. Previously he was in charge of goods controlling.
