Presenter-actor Antti Holma has published a recommendation Ant’s school trip -podcast on the last episode on New Year’s Day. Holma is unexpectedly announced by an aunt person who has passed middle age – at the beginning of the episode, that it is the last episode.
After the initial announcement, Holma opens up in more detail about how the development of her identity has stopped. He has always felt that inside him lives an aunt person who has passed the middle age. So it’s not a bad thing at all, but rather a desirable state of being. Holma also emphasizes that it is not an expression of any kind of misogyny. Now, however, the aunt-person has taken over.
– Maybe this whole project has been about cementing my identity like cement. That this is where I am now, I am like this, I won’t change anymore, he describes.
Holma has just returned from a vacation trip in Japan with the flu and in the episode describes, among other things, how she would normally cover the things she experienced on the trip from such an aunt’s perspective in a podcast. Only halfway through the episode does he return to his announcement from the last episode.
– Don’t worry, he finally tells the listeners to relax.
Now the brand renewal of the podcast is at hand. Holma plans to start a new podcast called Anti’s journey. Antti’s school trip was originally intended to be done on the way to film school studies. That never happened, and school ended just in time.
– I thought it was dishonest to say that this is about the school trip, when it is not, he specifies.
Holma also doesn’t want to do a podcast in the car, as was originally planned. He wants to keep the podcast a little more controlled anyway. In addition, he himself has been listening to podcasts for a long time that use a soundboard, that is, certain types of sound effects are heard in the podcast. We should also try something like that.
– Now it’s getting ready, but it’s so terrible, it’s so terrible that I don’t really think I’ll ever be able to present it. I’m going to try though, he laughs.
Holma praises that the good thing about projects is that you can try everything. A new experiment is also that Holma opens the e-mail. He has often repeated that he doesn’t want another Auta Antti-type podcast because he doesn’t want requests for help in his email.
– Yes, you already know that there is no going back there. I thought I would dare to open it. Actually, I haven’t been afraid of that Auta Antti, I’ve been afraid of you. Now I’m not afraid anymore, he laughs.
Holma sums up that the powerful soul and essence of the aunt-person who has passed the middle age is not destroyed by the public feedback.
Holma has published Anti’s school trip podcast from autumn 2022. The podcast is Finland’s Top 10 most listened to podcasts on Spotify, number six on the 2024 list.
