Carlo Boszhard is currently RTL’s longest-serving presenter, but that will of course come to an end at some point. “The day of farewell will come one day.”
The honor of RTL’s longest-serving presenter was for a long time in the hands of Jan de Hoop, who was closely followed by Irene Moors, but they both left. Carlo Boszhard is currently at the top of the list of TV stars who have worked for RTL the longest. And he will also disappear from the TV at some point.
Carlo’s farewell
How does Carlo himself view this? Above all, he wants to enjoy the moment. “I belong to Moulin Rouge! that people are already thinking about the next production. They are young and always want to look ahead, understandably. The people I work with are in a different phase of life. But Uncle Carlo often says: try to enjoy where you are now.”
He continues in his Televizier column: “It became clear to me again when the boss of RTL told me at a presenter’s party that I am the longest-serving presenter. The day of farewell will come one day. With a bouquet of flowers and perhaps a nice photo, but fortunately my mind is focused on the present.”
Joyful fact
That is why Carlo celebrated ‘this joyful fact’. “With my fiancé Herald, Mom and Dad and everyone I love so much. Because life should be celebrated, especially if you can stay at 4 for so long.”
Carlo tries not to worry too much about his future. “My mother always says: a person suffers most from what he fears. And what does NOT show up…”
