Carter has denied the allegations and said the sex was consensual. Carter sued Schuman in 2023 for defamation.
At least three women have accused Carter of sexual crimes. In August 2023, the person who filed the charge says he was 15 years old at the time of the incident, the other person who filed the charge was 17 years old. Both of them claim to have contracted the papilloma virus from Carter.
