The Hamburg jewelry chain Bijou Brigitte fashion accessories AG has expanded its branch network again this year and wants to continue to expand in the future.
The retailer expects to have 914 locations by year-end, according to a statement released Wednesday. On December 31, 2023 there were only 897 stores. After the branch network had been steadily reduced in previous years, Bijou Brigitte is now focusing on expansion again. “This positive path will be consistently continued in the coming financial year,” emphasized the company.
Bijou Brigitte has also recently been on a growth path in terms of sales: in the first nine months of the current year, group sales amounted to 242.2 million euros. This exceeded the level of the same period last year by 1.2 percent.
For the entire 2024 financial year, management continues to forecast sales in the range of 330.0 to 350.0 million euros. However, the current Christmas business will be of “crucial importance” for the concrete development, the company explained. Last year, group sales were 327.9 million euros.
