Bidding was possible until last Thursday, for a minimum price of 275,000 euros. But not a single offer was received.
As part of the Blue Deal, the VLM, the Flemish Land Company, will purchase the farm and pasture land from the Vlaamse Waterweg, which owns the plot. The plot will then be transferred to the Flemish Environment Agency. It will demolish the farm and old chicken coop and restore the landscape to its original state.
