Tram derailed in Ostend: disruption between Ostend and Westende

At around 8.30 am, the coastal tram and a van collided with each other in the center of Ostend. It was foggy by the sea on Saturday morning and as a result the driver of the van had not noticed the tram.

As a result of the collision, the tram left the track. No one was injured. However, there is a lot of material damage. Tram traffic has been interrupted between Ostend station and Westende Bad. The line uses shuttle buses to limit the inconvenience to travelers as much as possible.
