There is a major power outage in Aalsmeer from around 6 p.m. This concerns a total of 1,635 households in postal code area 1431. Liander announced around 7:15 p.m. that the power outage has been resolved.
Photos show that the street lights were not working and people were sitting at tables by candlelight. This concerns a total of 41 streets.
According to grid operator Liander, this mainly concerns households. “Large consumers are not affected, most addresses without electricity are households.”
Liander announced that a technician is on his way and suspected that the malfunction would last until 8 p.m., which turned out to be a little earlier. The cause of the malfunction is still unknown. “We assume it is a spontaneous failure, which will be investigated later.”

The fact that the street lighting no longer worked everywhere has to do with the connection. “It is connected to the same cable in some streets,” said the spokesperson.
