Franz Beckenbauer will be said farewell with a large memorial ceremony on Friday in Munich’s Allianz Arena. The “Emperor” died on January 7th at the age of 78.
Numerous prominent guests are expected
Steinmeier and Söder will give a speech. As did Bayern President Herbert Hainer and honorary president Uli Hoeneß, who was a close companion of Beckenbauer when he was a player and official.
A total of 50,000 people can be there in the FC Bayern stadium and pay their last respects to the “Kaiser”. Admission is free. Beckenbauer’s public farewell can also be seen live on television.
